Nostalghia
Nostalghia is Ciscandra Nostalghia, Roy Gnan and touring cellist Adele Stein. For the uninitiated, Nostalghia's music is compelling, provocative and cinematic, and its vocalist and heart-and-soul, Ciscandra Nostalghia, is an art-pop adventurist with a flair for the dark and dramatic. Vancouver's Georgia Straight put it this way: "[Nostalghia's music is] loaded with fried-circuit synths, metal-clatter percussion, and funereal cellos...new tracks such as "Homeostasis" and "Stockholm Syndrome" draw heavily from nightmarish-side-of-the-'80s new wave and '90s-issue industrial, with Nostalghia's theatrical vocals never less than captivating."

With early fans that run the gamut from Skrillex to Marilyn Manson, producer/film composer Tyler Bates, System of a Down's Serj Tankian and Slayer's Dave Lombardo, Los Angeles-based Nostalghia released its first album, Chrysalis, on April 8, 2014 (110 Records/INgrooves). The release was preceded by the premiere single "You + I," which received airplay on specialty programs at Alternative radio, including L.A. powerhouses Indie 103.1 and KCRW.

On recording and in a live-setting, Nostalghia transports its audience into a cathartic dimension; it is a journey that not only leads its audience into a spiritual state of feeling, intensity, and passion, but also directly into the face of the unknown.

Across Los Angeles, buzz is building around the performative artistry of this three-piece musical vision.

Nostalghia, through word of mouth alone, is now packing venues and creating an eager amount of excitement for it's growing fan-base. In September 2012, the band was even selected to open for Serj Tankian (System of a Down) at Club Nokia, where they put on a captivating show that left audiences, once more, breathless.

In 2013, the band played several shows as direct support for Gogol Bordello, performed at Rifflandia Music Festival in Victoria, British Columbia and toured with the Orb in California. Nostalghia closed an exciting year with a compelling performance on the Main Stage at Corona Capital Festival in Mexico City.

In 2014, Nostalghia took the stage again in Mexico as an opener for Thirty Seconds to Mars and toured Australia as part of the Soundwave Festival. In May, Nostalghia toured the east coast of the United States with Crosses †††.

With a new album mixed by multi-platinum producer and mixer Dave Fortman out now, and an undeniable personal connection with fans, the future burns bright for Nostalghia.
